It is pre-oiled, so you don't need to oil anything except the laces. The Trap-Eze web is the best you can get. A buddy of mine has theWilson A2000 Y-web. That is nice, but this pro601p is more rugged, durable and looks nicer. If you are a competitive baseball player, high school or above, and are looking for a nice looking, amazing quality glove, look no further. This is for you. If MLB players like Carlos Lee and Curtis Granderson use this model it must be good.
