For boxing, real training or boxing classes in a gym, you will need a good set of handwraps. They keep your fingers aligned, support your wrists, and keep you your skin padded from abrasion. If you wear boxing gloves they are must; punching a heavy bag without handwraps (with or without gloves) for more than about 10-15 minutes will take all of the skin off of your knuckles. Not only is it unpleasant, leaving a stinging, raw feeling on your knuckles for a week or more, you will not be able to box again until your hands heal up.

Almost all of the major "boxing" brands make wraps.I have tried several, and would say that on average most wraps would rate three stars, as they are either short, made of rough material, or don't stretch the appropriate amount.A trainer recommended these.

These wraps:

*are longer than most (a plus)
*have a good balance of material - not to thick / not to gauzy
*stretch the right amount

Two notes:(1) because the price is fairly low, would recommend two pairs so that you can alternate pairs and let one dry out and (2) recommend hand washing in a sink rather than putting in a washing machine, otherwise you will get back a big knotted mess.A garment bag might be an alternative, but have not tried it.

If you need wraps, highly recommend.

Hope this review helps.
